[Day 13] The First Noel

The First Noel

Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord
That hath made Heaven and earth of naught
And with his blood mankind has bought.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

Noël, from the Latin word natalis, means “birth.” Therefore, the title of the hymn, fully translated, is “The First Birth.”
That First Birth, the one that delivered Our Savior into this world? It was so He could deliver us. Have you ever given much thought to what that really means?

I couldn't help but think of this today when word came that a loved one had taken his own life. I don't know all the details, I only know the heartache. I can only imagine the why, but I will never understand it.

There is no SIN too great,
No FAILURE too big,
No WEAKNESS too strong
that Christ cannot deliver you from. None. Nada. Zilch. Got that?

Matthew 1:21 says-

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”

If YOU know this to be true, are you living like you believe it? Do you know others that need to hear that message? Will you tell them?

Don't wait.
